The Journal, long reads with the numbers

3 Oct 2026

Our own channel for the business, the body and the life around the fight. Every figure carries its source. RSS and JSON, no noise.

Read the post

The Daily Ten is the news of the morning, ranked. The Journal is the other half: long reads written by the studio, not scraped, on the business, the body and the life around the fight. Raw, elegant, for fighters and the brands around them.

What is in it so far. The money round: what a fight night actually earns, from the gate to the stream. Sleep is the cheapest coach you will ever hire: the research on sleep and injury, and a fight week protocol. The weight cut is a tax: how much of the body goes before the scale. Small hall arithmetic: a four figure purse, a ticket deal and a journeyman in the away corner. What the UFC's books say about your sponsor deck. Between camps: two fights a year is thirty quiet weeks, and what to do with them.

How it is built. Every figure carries its source, named and linked at the foot of the piece. Where a number is our own arithmetic, the page says so. No third-party images: the page is type, figures and charts in the studio's own faces. One long read a week, by RSS or JSON feed, next to the Daily Ten.

Who it is for. The fighter who wants to understand the money he is not being paid. The brand that wants to be inside the sport rather than on top of it. The coach who plans the camp and wants the research in one place.

Career mode, build your fighter

2 Oct 2026

Create your fighter, pick your missions and get your thirty-day plan. Three minutes, free, and one of us calls you with it.

Read the post

Career mode is the athlete funnel as a game. Create your fighter, see your missions on the city map, accept the briefing. Three minutes. Your fighter card and a 30-day plan, free. Every answer changes your card and your plan, and at the end Mert or Igor calls you with it.

Six steps. Discipline: boxing, MMA, bare knuckle, Muay Thai or kickboxing. Stage: amateur, pro prospect, contender or champion. Corner: what already exists, fight footage, training clips, an audience, a website, a sponsor, a team. Missions, up to three: sign sponsors, sell tickets, grow the audience, move PPV, merch and drops, a long-form series. Next fight: within a month, in one to three months, later this year, not booked yet. Look: classic, street, neon or luxe.

The card builds itself from every answer: ring name, a rating, four stats, your corner, the missions unlocked, the next fight. Stats are playful, not promises.

The map. Every mission marked on it is a lane we run for you: the identity studio, the clip factory, the series lot, sponsor row, the arena, the Vault, the tech district. The route is your first thirty days. Fixed price.

The briefing. Send your details and one of us calls you within 24 hours. Then the real thing starts.

The Daily Ten, how this feed works

1 Oct 2026

Ten combat sports stories every morning, deduplicated, ranked, summarised and read by us, with every outlet credited.

Read the post

Every morning at 06:00 UTC this desk reads the last 24 hours of boxing and MMA coverage across the best outlets, deduplicates it, ranks it by impact and publishes the ten stories that matter. Each one comes with a summary, the takeaways and our read. That is the Daily Ten.

What ranked means. An editor scores every story from 0 to 100 on how much it moves the sport: a title fight booked, a belt vacated, a result that rewrites a division. The ten are the top of that list, boxing and MMA side by side, the lead at number one.

What our read means. Our read is our opinion, one or two sentences under the facts. It is grounded in the reporting and it is ours. The facts stay the outlet's: every story links to the original article, and the credit line names who did the reporting. We summarise, we do not reproduce.

What else is on the page. A live wire of the outlets' latest headlines. The fight calendar: upcoming bouts with a date and a source, nothing guessed. The sources strip, every newsroom we read. Back issues, one JSON file per day.

How to follow. The page, the RSS feed, the JSON feed, and the story cards on Instagram every morning. Every card names the outlet in its foot.
